Mud Therapy

I aim to move on, to brighter days,

Yet your love holds me in a lingering haze;

I try to forget, to leave behind,

But memories of us always intertwine.

I search for a bridge, back to your heart,

Yet shadows of rifts keep us apart;

In my veins, sadness starts to creep,

A heart aflame, in longing so deep.

I strive to mend, to heal the space,

To recapture the love, our once warm embrace;

But in this world, so vast and wide,

I’m lost in the mud, with nowhere to hide.
