„Far from the Abyss” is a stirring meditation on the human condition, set against the vastness of the cosmos. This poem invites readers to ponder their place in the universe, comparing the fleeting nature of human life with the timeless majesty of the stars. It intertwines the themes of existential reflection, the pursuit of dreams, and the enduring legacy we leave behind. With its vivid celestial imagery and deep philosophical undercurrents, the poem offers a journey of self-discovery, encouraging us to embrace the grand adventure of life and to find our own place among the stars.

Far from the Abyss
Far from the Abyss

Far from the Abyss

I gaze at the sky, adorned with stars aglow,

Lighting up like fire the Milky Way’s flow.

I wonder, what am I amidst their gleam?

And I find no answer, no guiding beam.

What am I before the endless sky,

In its grandeur of stars that high?

Just an old, rusted form, merely flesh,

A soul trapped, in life’s mesh.

But the infinite sky sent me a sign,

With stars on its canvas, a message divine:

Each star hides a tale, a dream it keeps,

In every story, a vision leaps.

And you, an ideal, a dream, a story to tell,

Among the stars, your spirit will dwell.

Live your life, let me know your tale’s crux,

And I’ll place you in the stars when life’s dusk.

But remember, every star once a dream’s spark,

A vision that carved its own arc.

So craft from life a bold, noble feat,

Live, dream, beyond the depths, where brave souls meet.

„Whispers of the Cosmic Dance”

As the poetic verses of „Shadows at the End of Day” fade, we transition into a prose reflection that delves deeper into the themes explored in the poem.

Beneath a star-laden sky, on a clear and profound night, I sit, my gaze lost in the cosmic abyss. The stars twinkle like diamonds scattered across the dark velvet of the sky, each shimmer a promise of infinity. Amidst this grand spectacle, I ponder, „What am I, a mere mortal being, in comparison to this endless universe? How do I relate to this starry sky that seems to have neither beginning nor end?”

I feel insignificant, almost invisible, an ephemeral shadow against the grandeur of the cosmos. My body, aged and weary from the years gone by, seems just a transient vessel, a cell in the vast organism of the universe. My soul, imprisoned within the confines of this body, yearns for freedom, for answers to the questions that haunt me. „Is it worth struggling, living this seemingly insignificant life?”

Then, in this moment of deep contemplation, the Sky itself speaks to me. Not with a sonorous voice, but in a language of light and imagination. The stars convey a message, each star a letter in a text written across the night sky. As if in a dream, the stars align, forming words: „Every star is a story, a destiny, a dream,” and then suddenly everything mixes and resettles. „And you are part of this cosmic dance. You are a dream, an ideal, a story worth living and telling.”

I feel hope and determination reborn in my soul. The Sky promises me that, at the end of my journey, I will be honored among the stars, a recognition of my life lived with passion and courage.

And, as I reflect on this dialogue with the infinite, I realize that each star, each ray in the cosmic night, represents someone’s life that was once a dream. So, I resolve to turn each day into a grand adventure, to live and dream far from the abyss, to embrace every moment with the intensity of a star. I understand that each of us is a shining fragment in the mosaic of life, and our story, lived with authenticity and courage, is what makes us immortal in the history of the universe.
